Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make evening appointments

We understand it can be difficult to arrange appointments around work and other commitments. At our practice we can offer evening appointments on a Tuesday for those who are unable to attend normal working hours.

I have a phobia, can you help me

It can be a struggle to find a dentist that you trust and feel comfortable with. Here at the practice we try to arrange appointments with the same dentist each time you visit even if it is for an emergency appointment. A friend or family member may be able to recommend a dentist and we would be more than happy to arrange an appointment with a specific dentist. we also provide sedation if you feel you would benefit.

How often should I visit the dentist

Most children and adults should visit their dentist for regular check ups at least every six months. People at a greater risk of oral disease should consider a check up more than twice a year. Certain medical conditions e.g.; diabetes, pregnancy and poor oral hygiene, alcohol and tobacco use are also factors to be considered when deciding how often your exam and cleaning should be done.

How much does it cost me?

We believe that quality treatment doesn’t need to cost the earth. The maximum treatment is £384 in a single course of treatment regardless of the amount of NHS treatment required. Many patients may also qualify for free treatment if they are receipt of any of the following benefits:

  • Income support – HC2 certificate
  • Income based job seekers – HC3 certified (maybe only partial help)
  • Pregnancy -has had baby within last year
  • Aged 18 in full time education – tax/pension credit
  • Employment related income support allowance

How do I make an emergency appointment?

We do our best to offer same day appointments to registered patients. If you are not registered please contact us on 0141 774 3116 and we will strive to offer you an appointment on the same day or as soon as possible. We also participate in an out of hours emergency service. Please call 08454 242424 if you are experiencing a dental emergency i.e. extreme pain/swelling. This service is available for after hours, weekends and bank holidays.
