If a tooth or teeth are too badly damaged or loose and cannot be repaired, they will need to be extracted. This normally happens as a last resort and we try to save and restore as many of your teeth as possible.
If you do require an extraction, our dentists will help put you at ease and try to ensure the procedure is as quick and painless as possible. In an instance where we find the tooth is too badly broken down for a simple extraction, you may require a planned surgical extraction to help with the removal. This enables the procedure to go more smoothly and is sometimes done in surgery, or depending on the complexity, you may be referred to a specialist to ensure you are in the best hands.
